Who We Are
Invisibly Unwell is a research-driven podcast designed to help women better understand their bodies, their patterns, and their options — so they can make informed, sustainable choices about their health.
Rather than offering rigid protocols or universal answers, the podcast centers education, context, and critical thinking. The goal is to equip listeners with credible information and perspective so they can decide what actually supports their health — in this season of life, in this body.
Each episode features in-depth conversations with clinicians, nutritionists, researchers, and practitioners who work directly with autoimmune disease and chronic illness. Together, we explore what the body is asking for — and why so many high-functioning women struggle to hear it.
Invisibly Unwell rejects one-size-fits-all wellness advice.
Instead, it prioritizes:
Evidence over hype
Curiosity over compliance
Context over quick fixes
Empathy for the hard, often invisible parts of healing
Episodes acknowledge that what works in one season may not work in another, and that sustainable health requires experimentation, self-trust, and a willingness to slow down when the body asks for it.

Paige Lavell is the author of Invisibly Unwell and the host of the Invisibly Unwell podcast.
After years of navigating autoimmune disease alongside coping mechanisms that were socially rewarded but ultimately unsustainable — leaving her feeling disconnected and like a stranger in her own life — Paige created this platform to share credible information, thoughtful conversation, and lived insight, without pretending there’s a single right way to heal.
Her approach is curious, grounded, and deeply respectful of both scientific research and lived experience.
