Invisibly Unwell

Invisibly Unwell is an interview podcast for women who want to understand their bodies, their patterns, and their options well enough to make their own decisions.

Who We Are

Invisibly Unwell is a podcast for women navigating autoimmune disease and chronic illness inside demanding careers, including the years spent unwell before a diagnosis. It's for women who want to understand their bodies, their patterns, and their options well enough to make their own decisions.

Rather than offering rigid protocols or universal answers, the podcast centers education, context, and critical thinking. The goal is to equip listeners with credible information and perspective so they can decide what actually supports their health in this season of life, in this body.

Each episode features in-depth conversations with clinicians, dietitians, subject matter experts, and women living it.

Invisibly Unwell rejects one-size-fits-all wellness advice.
Instead, it prioritizes:

  • Evidence over hype

  • Curiosity over compliance

  • Context over quick fixes

  • Honesty over performance

  • Empathy for the parts nobody sees

Episodes acknowledge that what works in one season may not work in another, and that sustainable health requires experimentation, self-trust, and permission to slow down without treating it as a failure.

paige lavell

Paige Lavell is the author of Invisibly Unwell and the host of the Invisibly Unwell podcast.

Paige spent years navigating autoimmune disease alongside coping mechanisms that were socially rewarded and ultimately unsustainable. They left her disconnected, and a stranger in her own life. She created this platform to share credible information, thoughtful conversation, and lived insight, without pretending there is a single right way through it.

Her approach is curious, grounded, and deeply respectful of both scientific research and lived experience.
